Braze-Stops
Vitta 1AL and 1YT Braz-Stop materials are parting compounds designed to prevent molten filler metal from touching and brazing base metal parts and to keep holes and cut / milled areas free from filling with molten metal. They can also be used to keep stacks of prefabricated parts from sticking together during heat treatment operations.
1AL Braz-Stop is designed and recommended for general use and is CSS156 approved. A water-based compound it is specially processed using finely ground, high-purity material that is both chemically and thermally inert.
It can be used in vacuum furnaces without fear of contamination of either the base or filler metals.
Renowned for its ease of clean-up, Vitta Braz-Stop will leave none, or very little residue and can be removed by simple brushing, air-blowing or washing with a jet of water. No chemical cleaning, grinding or blasting is required.
1YT Braz-Stop is specifically designed for use with titanium and titanium containing alloys. 1YT is a rare-earth composition that is both chemically and thermally inert.

Braz-Stop Paste
Compounded with specialised organic binders containing lower amounts of alcohol to produce a very stable and uniform paste that dries to the touch in circa 20 minutes. No periodic remixing is required with Vitta Braz-Stop pastes as separation does not occur.
Binders and solvents used in the products decompose at temperatures well below the brazing / working temperature and so leave no residue in the actual Braz-Stop materials.
Easy to apply from the syringe tip close to the joint or edge to be treated without fear of runs, no requirement for painting or runovers.
Available in 45g syringes, 110g standard cartridges and 500g jars.
Braz-Stop Tape
Unique to Vitta, the self-adhesive tape is protected with release paper. Provides a convenient, uniform thickness, no mixing, no dripping from vertical surfaces and no mess. No residue as the binders and adhesives all decompose at a temperature well below brazing / working temp.
Standard rolls from 0.005” to 0.013” thick by 0.25” 0.38” and 0.50” wide and 20’ long. Bespoke sizing upon request.
Easy to apply. Remove release paper, press in place and remove the polyethylene carrier strip.

Braz-Stop Paint
Paint is a viscous liquid parting compound for general brazing applications. Key features include:
• No objectionable odour
• No remixing for at least 12 hours
• Water clean-up – before and after brazing
• Easily thinned over a wide viscosity range
• Works at temperatures over 1600C
• Can also be used for Cu brazing alloys and Ag solder systems
Can be applied by brush, paint roller or dipping. Good results reported with spray-gun application following dilution. Additionally use of paint in syringe with fine needle point for precision application on intricate parts.
Available in 500g jars as standard. Bespoke sizing upon request.
Braz-Binder Gel
Vitta Braz-Binder Gel is used for mixing with powders to make free flowing brazing pastes. This binder will mix with and suspend powdered brazing filler metal alloys into smooth uniform pastes or slurries for furnace brazing applications.
This viscous gel is manufactured from non-hazardous polymers and water and is designed to burn-off cleanly, well below working / brazing temperatures leaving little or no residue.
This product exhibits superior dispersing, suspension, thickening and adhesion qualities and is packaged in 500 gram jars.
Our Grade ST (pink) gel is suitable for the vast majority of brazing requirements and is CSS189 approved. Vitta-Braz Binder Gel Grade ST is a water-based binder gel used to mix and suspend powdered brazing filler metals in smooth, stable and uniform pastes for furnace brazing applications. The Braz-Binder gel is a viscous gel made from non-hazardous polymers and water. There are no ozone depleting substances, toxic or flammable materials or fumes to cause potential issues in the mixing or application areas.

Braz-Cement
Vitta A10 Braz-Cement is a water based moderate viscosity liquid binder cement designed for general purpose brazing applications and is CSS156 approved.
This colourless product contains no solvents other than water and combines the dual properties of binder and dilutant. It may be added directly to powdered brazing materials.
Vitta A-VA Braz-Cement offers a low viscosity alternative. Other formulae and bespoke options available on request.
Braz-Rope
Vitta Braz-Rope is a dry, continuous, highly flexible strand of brazing filler metal in rope form and is designed for furnace brazing. This unique brazing product allows for consistent application of braze filler metal resulting in more uniform braze fillets.
Braz-Rope is available in all standard alloy designations in a range of diameters from 0.020 to 0.100 inches (0.50 – 2.54 mm).
